Neewer Hub is an application that provides you with smart device control and management services by Shenzhen Newer Technology Co., Ltd. and its related companies or subsidiaries (hereinafter referred to as "Neewer" or "us"). 1.1  Information we collect during your use of the service

  1. Details related to your device: To realize the functions of smart device binding, control, and management of the device, we need to collect the following information about you: device name, model, version, MAC address, IP address, device operating status, and setting parameters.
  2. Smart devices and application upgrades: To achieve application version upgrades and smart device firmware version upgrades, we need to collect the following information from you: the type of your bound device, phone model, version information, firmware version, and other information for detecting and downloading new versions.
  3. Location information: When you enable the location function of your mobile device through system authorization and use location-based services, we will collect and use your location information for quick device connection, search for nearby devices, device lists, and other functions.

 

If you do not provide the above information, we will not be able to provide you with device discovery, control, management functions of Neewer Hub application, and you are not able to use the services provided by smart devices.

 

1.2  Device permission call

  1. Location permissions: To achieve the interaction between the Neewer Hub application and smart devices, we need to obtain the system's Bluetooth device list. According to the Android system permission application principle, we need to obtain your location permission to read the Bluetooth device list for quick connection of devices, search for nearby devices, device list, and other functions.
  2. Storage permissions: To provide you with caching service, we need to obtain access to read and write mobile phone storage, which is used to provide caching service, save photos and videos, the running state of the device, and other services.
  3. Camera Permission: To provide you with photo and video shooting functions, you need to select this permission to enable this permission for photo and video shooting.
  4. Microphone permission: To realize the audio-video recording function in Neewer Hub, you need to select this permission, which is used for your sound recording in the video shooting scene.

 

In addition to the permissions above, this application needs to turn on Bluetooth when connecting to a Bluetooth device. If it is not turned on, it will not be able to connect to the device. You can turn off Bluetooth through the system "Settings".

 

You can visit the system "Settings" at any time to manage the permissions of this application.
