Thank you for choosing to use the software developed and operated by Shenzhen NEEWER Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “we” or “NEEWER”) and/or its affiliated companies. This policy is only applicable to products or services related to the NEEWER Teleprompter .

Special Notice:

Please read this policy carefully before you use the “NEEWER Teleprompter .” NEEWER will protect your personal information collected during any or all of your use of the “NEEWER Teleprompter ” in accordance with relevant laws and regulations. The key clauses outlined  in this policy relating to your rights and interests are indicated in bold type and we would invite you to review them.

 

I. Scope of application of this policy

The software developed and operated by NEEWER or its affiliated companies and to which this policy applies includes, but is not limited to, the: NEEWER Teleprompter mobile application client (including NEEWER Teleprompter mobile phone and tablet client running in Android and iOS systems).

 

II. Definitions

1. Personal information: Refers to all kinds of information related to identified or identifiable private individual persons recorded electronically or otherwise, excluding the information after anonymization.

2. Personal sensitive information: Refers to the personal information that may endanger personal safety and property security which could risk damage to personal reputation, physical and mental health  or discriminatory treatment in the case of information being leaked, illegally provided or abused. We will clearly mark the specific personal sensitive information in bold in this policy.

3. Personal information deletion: Refers to the act of removing personal information from the system involved when conducting day-to-day business functions, so that it can no longer be retrieved or accessed.

4. Anonymization of personal information: Through the technical processing of personal information, you cannot be recognized, and the processed information cannot be restored.

5. NEEWER Teleprompter mobile application client: Refers to the mobile application software (App) running in Android, iOS operating systems.

 

III. What information do we collect and how do we use it?

In order to provide services to you, the NEEWER Teleprompter may need to apply to you for the following permissions within the necessary scope. We would like to assure you that these permissions will not be enabled by default by the NEEWER Teleprompter , and can only be accessed when conducting specific services/functions with your separate consent. Even if you have authorized to access your corresponding permissions, we will only access within the scope of your authorization and obtain corresponding information (if required). You can withdraw your authorization at any time. After you withdraw your authorization, we will stop accessing the corresponding permissions and will no longer be able to provide you with some of the related services, but it will not affect your use of other services provided by us. We collect and use your personal information for the following purposes described in this policy:

1. Register as our user

You will need to complete the steps for creating account, to become a registered user , so that we can provide you with the relevant services. When you register using an e-mail address, you need to provide us with your e-mail address and password. We use this kind of information to send verification code information for you to submit to verify whether your identity is valid.

You accept that we collect e-mail addresses for the purpose of authenticating user identity when you log in to a NEEWER account. If you do not provide such information, you may not be able to use our registered user services in the usual way.

2. Improve account information

Whilst using various services provided by NEEWER, you can obtain more functionality and enjoy a better experience by improving the basic information such as profile photo, nickname, gender and birthday. If you do not provide them, it will not affect the basic functions of your NEEWER account.

3. Problem feedback

When you use the “Feedback and Suggestions” function in our products, we will collect information relating to the device used, your feedback e-mail address, problem description, pictures or videos showing the problem. The purpose of collecting such information is to analyze and locate the cause of the problem. The purpose of collecting your contact information is to make a follow-up visit to find out whether the problem has been completely solved or to contact you if further information to help solve the issue is needed.

4. Document/cloud document services provided to you

a. Copy and share

When you copy information and links, we need to access your clipboard to read the links and other content information contained therein, so as to conduct functions or services such as copying and pasting.

b. Cloud folder service

The content of the document is edited by the document editor. The document editor has the right to decide the format, content and whether to upload the document. NEEWER is only a technology provider and will not use any information you submit to the cloud folder in any way without your permission.

You (as the document editor) should decide whether you agree to fill in the document and whether you agree to submit the personal information in your document (such as name, ID number, contact information, address, account password, geographical location, etc.) to the cloud folder. If you do not wish to provide personal data in the document, please do not actively fill in the document and submit it to the cloud folder.

 

The above functions may require you to turn on your network permission and Wi-Fi status permission for us in your device to conduct the collection and use of information involved in these functions.

 

IV. How do we share, transfer and publicly disclose your personal information

1. Share

In order to provide you with the services described for the purposes of this privacy policy, we may, on the premise of abiding by the principle of “legality, minimum necessity and clear purpose”, share necessary personal information with third parties such as partners, including:

a. Disclose your personal information to third-party service providers that provide us with certain business-related services, such as website hosting, data storage facilities, customer support services, e-mail sending services and other similar services, so as to ensure that they can provide services for us.

b. Disclose your personal information to the company’s subsidiaries or affiliates to conduct business activities on a regular basis.

2. Transfer

We will not transfer your personal information to any company, organization or individual other than affiliated companies, except for the following circumstances:

a. Obtain your express authorization or consent in advance;

b. Meet the requirements of laws and regulations, legal procedures or mandatory government requirements or judicial decisions;

c. If we or our affiliated companies are involved in merger, division, liquidation, acquisition or sale of assets or businesses, your personal information may be transferred as part of such transactions. We will ensure the confidentiality of such information at the time of transfer, and require new companies and organizations holding your personal information to continue to be bound by this policy. Otherwise, we will ask the company and organization to ask you for authorization again.

3. Transfer personal information that is not within your permission

If we need to transfer personal information outside your authority, whether to our subsidiaries (including communication, technology or cloud service companies) or third-party service providers, we shall transfer relevant information in accordance with applicable laws. In particular, in order to ensure that all such content transmissions comply with applicable local data protection laws, we will implement appropriate security measures. According to the regulations, you will have the right to know the appropriate protection measures taken by NEEWER for the transmission of your personal information.

NEEWER is a global company headquartered in China. In accordance with applicable laws, we may transfer your personal data to any of NEEWER’s subsidiaries worldwide and their related companies in order to comply with this privacy policy when processing such information. We can also transfer your personal data to our third-party service providers, who may be located outside the European Economic Area (EEA).

Whenever NEEWER shares personal data from the European Economic Area with a third party, whether such a third party is an entity outside the European Economic Area or not, we will share relevant information in accordance with EU standard contractual clauses or any other safeguards specified in the General Data Protection Regulation.

NEEWER may use its overseas facilities operated and controlled by NEEWER to process or back up your personal information. At present, we have data centers in Shenzhen and the United States. Such overseas jurisdictions may or may not have provisions similar to the data protection laws in your jurisdiction. We ask you to consider that there are different risks in the applicable data protection laws, and we may transfer and store your personal information in our overseas facilities; however, this will not change our commitment to protect your personal information in accordance with this privacy policy.

4. Public disclosure

We will only publicly disclose your personal information under the following circumstances:

a. Obtain your express consent;

b. Based on laws and regulations, legal procedures, litigation or mandatory requirements of competent government departments.

5. The sharing, transfer and disclosure of personal information shall be subject to the exception of prior authorization and consent.

 

 

V. How do we protect and preserve your personal information

We will strictly abide by the relevant laws and regulations on the processing of personal information, and strive to protect your personal information by using security protection measures in line with industry standards to prevent your personal information from unauthorized access, public disclosure, use, modification, damage or loss. The safety protection measures we take are as follows, but please bear in mind that no amount of safety measures can offer guaranteed protection:

1. When you send or receive information to/from our server, we ensure that it is encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol and other appropriate algorithms.

2. All your personal information is stored on a secure server and protected in a controlled facility.

3. We will conduct due diligence on third-party partners to ensure that they have the ability to protect your personal information. We will also check whether third parties have adopted appropriate security standards by enforcing appropriate contractual restrictions and conducting audits and evaluations as necessary.

We will revise and improve the above measures and management methods from time to time to improve the overall safety.

 

VI. Your rights

We attach great importance to your management of personal information and try our best to ensure you are able to exercise your rights to access, copy, correct, supplement, delete, withdraw consent and authorization of personal information.

1. Change or withdraw the scope of authorization

You can turn off relevant permissions in the operating system settings of the device itself, change the scope of consent or withdraw your authorization. After withdrawing the authorization, we will no longer collect information related to the permission.

2. Your right to check and correct personal information

You can go to Personal Center > Personal Information in the NEEWER Teleprompter mobile application client to check your account information (such as profile photo, account e-mail, name, birthday, gender) and correct your personal information.

3. Cancel your account

You can go to Personal Center > Account and Security > Cancel Account in the NEEWER Teleprompter mobile application client and follow the prompts to cancel your account.

Before your account is cancelled, we will verify your personal identity and help you complete the cancellation. You know and understand that the cancellation of your account is irreversible. After your account is cancelled, we will delete or anonymously process the relevant information about you.

 

VII. Protection of children’s personal information

This app is for adults only. If you are a child, you need your parents or guardians to agree to use this app and agree to the relevant terms of service. Parents and guardians should also take appropriate precautions to protect children, including monitoring their use of this application.

For the collection of children's personal information with the consent of parents or guardians, we will only use or publicly disclose this information if permitted by laws, expressly agreed by parents or guardians or necessary to protect children.

Although local laws or customs define children differently, we treat anyone under the age of 14 as a child.

 

VIII. How is this policy updated

1. In order to provide you with better services and, as our business evolves, the provisions of this policy may be modified from time to time, but without your explicit consent, we will not reduce your rights under this policy.

2. After the policy is updated, we will show you the changed policy in the form of push notification and pop-up window when you log in and update the version, so that you are made aware that there is a more current version of this policy.
